Tall plants, no leaves

I'm 5 1/2 weeks into my 1st grow and 11 days into flowering my 1st plants. When I look at other plants on these forums my plants look skimpy. Average height is about 22 inches but I only have leaves growing about every 4-5 inches. I actually only planned on them being about 16 inches tall at this point and its pretty obvious to me that these plants wont be able to support buds due to the skinny stem. I am prepaired to tie them so they dont fall over but can anyone tell me if this plant looks normal?

If they are screwed up is there anything that can be done to help them fill in?

thats called streaching my man, if ur growing indoors then it means the light is to far away from the plants. there was a women witht he same problem and i suggested tying it down like a cheap LST

Youa re growing ith CFL right... Not much you can do right now other than LST the shit out of it. Slowly bend it day by day . Get at least 150-200W worth of cfl's , mixed spectrum 6500-2700K, and surround the plant with them. Your pot is too small too, get a larger one. What type of nutes are you using?
Because you have already put them into flowering, you will more than likely only yeil 5 grams off of that plant...

thanks for the input. I guess you gotta learn as you go . My goal was to see if I could grow at a low cost the 1st time around and now I know I see I better get a little more technical next time. I will make some adjustments and see how it turns out. The picture I posted was the worste out of the bunch as far as leaves so maybe there is still time to LST the rest of them and trick them into a higher yield.

Thanks again.

Can you answer our questions?

Sorry for the delay.. forgot to check the thread.

I have ten 150w CFLs now surrounding them and I started LSTing them when you last posted. They are actually looking much better now.. started filling out but I would assume that happens when u flower them so i dont know if TLSing is the reason. BTW I am using miracle grow as a medium. I do not have access to any grow shops. The closest one is 4 hours away.

Can you explain to me why I started LSTing them? I have plenty of room to grow them. Do they fill out more from LST? Should I have started LSTing them from the get go?

By 10 150W, I imagine you mean like 42 W, 150W equivilants.... Anyway, sounds good, give use a pic of them when you can, I would love to see how they turn out... gonna be interesting...

Over the past few days a couple of my girls have started to have droopy leaves. The lower green is fine but the tops look like the picture below. They are all watered the same amount and are not turning yellow or anything like that. Is this normal?

Overwatering, over nutes.... either or can do this... Are you waiting until they are dry before watering again?

Quick question:

My second grow is about 3 weeks behind my 1st grow which I have been posting about. One of my babys is lime green and each level has 4 branches instead of the normal 2 branches. Each of the 4 branches has started to grow upwards like the main stem of the plant. It looks like a mutant! Can u guys tell me what the heck is going on with it?
