Taking Larger Clones

Not thinking much about it at the time I put a couple of plants in my vegetable garden.
Anyway one of them took off like crazy and now has starting to either show her sex or is out right starting to bloom.
I have taking all the obivious smaller branches as clones and they seem to be doing good.
Anyway I need to either take down the rest of the plant or attempt to clone the larger branches.
I would appreciate any comments.

The Higher (branches) you go up on a plant the harder it is for them to be cloned. Alot of it is due to the bottom is so full of hormones.
Why not top her and them wait 2 weeks and 12/12 or just keep topping side branches as well until you can 12/12 her with clones.

Thank you for the comment she is outside and near my power meter.
it all started as a lark really and I thought the pepper plants I had set would dominate and and somewhat hide the plant. That plan backfired and she took over and has now become somewhat obvious.
I managed to cut 20 or so clones from the lower branches and side shoots following suggested steps I found here on this site. I suspected it would be more difficult to clone the higher branches but was curious about what others may say. I may attempt to dig it up and get it in a container and see what happens.
May need a tree company lol

i took all i dared as clones including two of the larger limbs.
i think i will follow your advice and get her in a bucket.
cant hurt i feel pretty good about the clones so far they
seem to be holding up.
if i can get the mom to a better place like you say all the better.
i have comments in other threads about creating a hermie by stressing
a plant out but i really have no choice. i just hope these clones work.
the mother certianly looks good.
