T8 vs T12?

i read somewhere that the smaller the number the brighter the light.

does that mean more lumens per watt? cs ive seen 40watt t12 but never 40 watt t8s. they're all 32 watt.

so i guess my question is which is better? a 40 watt t12 or a 32 watt t8?

thanks!

and before anyone suggests i use CFLs or the like, i already have CFLs i just wanna add these 2 fixtures that i have for extra light.

32 watt t8 is better then a 40 watt t12

go with the the t-8s. floros of the same wattage put out the same amount of light. the 8-12 difference is the difference in diameter of the bulb. t-8s are a smaller bulb therefore you can cram more t-8s into a space than t-12s

4 foot 8 bulb T-5's. Nuff said.

i wish! i looked into buying that but it was too expensive. so i went and bought a 200 watt CFL instead (bad bad mistake)

I have an 8 bulb t-5. I love it for clones/veg/mothers. works great. worth the money.
