Tube fluorescent bulbs. No UV spectrum, though they look similar to UV tube fluoros used for reptile growth.

not sure t5 is actually the light fitting they are really thin floros usually high output

T5 lighting at a quick look might look just like a flouresent tube set up,but nothing can be further from the truth.You only have to use a t5 to see how the plants grow,my plant [mothers]that is are grown under a 4 tube t5 and they love it no streching.but saying that i do still have a couple of normal strip flouresent tubes has well hanging on chains in the same room.But before getting the t5 i did just use the flour strip lights and the plants still grow just fine.But the t5 will not be beat on luman out put,for such a low intence lighting kit.A t5 is well worth investing in most of them that are sold in hydro shops now days are built with growing in mind so this makes them far more used of been used for long periods of time.They are a good investment get one..............................tyke

i used t5s right through my first 3 grows with great success you just need to remeber to change from blue tubes to red tubes when your flowering
T5 from HTG Supply, 8 bulbs- 4ft long.

depending on how old your plants are you could also VEG using your hps.
Have you got your tent all setup and running to check you can keep control of temps?
I always perform 2x24hour trial runs of any new equipment that i setup to make sure.

I use 4ft 4tube T5 Lightwave unit and in 15 years can truely say it's the best light I ever bought.
I still place under MH for 1 week prior to HPS.
