I would prefer the t5 but I just want to make sure it's the best option. on the net its says the t5 is 96 watts but 6'600 lumens i' not sure what the cfl is thoui would defintely go with the t5s, i've ran both and the t5s definitely work better mate, you have to run a lot of cfls to match the area covered by that t5

You're going to want at least 3,000 to 5,000 lumens per square foot during the vegetative period.
4 x T5 HO 24 Watt tubes will give about 7,600 lumens (and use about 100 Watts), which is about 760 lumens/foot².
250 Watt compact will probably give around 19,000 lumens, which is about 1,900 lumens/square foot.![]()
