T5 VHO Lighting

Which T5 are you talking about coolbreeze?

There are, to my understanding, t5s which put out around 1500 lumens each(per 2ft)
then there are t5 HO which put out around 2500lumens(per 2ft)
and i am googling now to see if VHO(very high output?) is something new.

Oh and as with most lights, its all in quantity and spread. In a 2x2 box you could put a 2ft 4bulb t5ho light rack on each wall and one on top. That would solve the penetration issue, and you would have pretty formidable lumens/sq ft.

ok just found the VFOs. the 4ft lights put out 7500 lumens vs the 5k from the normal HO. so quite a big jump.

I only see them for now offered in 4ft bulbs. but a 2ft bulb should be about 3750 lumens. lets do some theoretical math.

4 bulbs per wall, assuming 2ft vfo bulbs, = 16 bulbs +4 on top so 20 bulbs total in a 2x2 tent.

20x3750 = 75,000 lumens... not bad at all! in a 2x2 tent your getting around 18k lumens per sq/ft haha maybe overkill

now the 4ft bulbs are about 100w each. so say 50 for each 2f

that gives us 50x20

eeek 1000w of floro for merely 75k lumens. sooo scratch that. well dare to dream about 360` lighting

ah back to the topic, if your getting a 4 bulb fixture that (in 4ft) thats 400 watts for 30,000 lumens vs a 400w hps which is 400w +/- a little, for 45-50,000 lumens. I would bet those vfo ballasts would put off a bit of heat as well.

I used a 2ft 4 bulb t5 HO with 2 more t5s for side lighting it worked okay for 1 plant but if u have the option of getting a hps go with that instead, don't get me wrong t5s are awesome great for veg maybe even a micro SOG but hps is more efficient

Ya i get great yeilds on an eight bulb bad boy t-5 ho . I'm thinking of getting an 8 bulb vho also.
I've got a 2x2 16 bulb HO T5...
For veg..at the moment it's over the mums as I'm just getting started
The veg space is 4.5'X8'.
All input is nice

I flower under 6, 4 2700 and 2 6500, T5 HO and get large, very dense buds. Good genetics is helpful. Got my stuff from Grow Lights Canada.
