I have 3 spaces. 2 are 4&1/2' x 1' x 5'. 1 space is 4 & 1/2' x 1' x 3'.

Right now in the small space I have some vegetive going with 2 4'-4 bulb HO T5 blue. the pics is what's going right now. the 1st has 1 set of lights off for the camera.

I would like to maybe try to kick it up a bit. i was going to go get a couple of those "feliz" 250 watt CFLs w/ reflectors. I was also going to mount one of the 4 bulb fixture to the wall as supplemental light. Would this be more efficient than my present set up?

A BUNCH of people say, "just get a 400 watt MH." But I fear that in such a small space that it would start a fire.

Do those CFLs get hot and if so how hot do HIDs get?

I would not go with the 400w unless you buy a cool tube and fan and ventilate really well, or else youll just burn the plants up. If it were me Id get one of those 8 bulb T5' setups from ebay. I think they push aroung 320w, a friend has that setup and just grows for personal use and can crop a 1/4lb each time. Good Luck

I thought of doing exactly that but I'm afraid it would be too wide for the 1' shelf it would hang from and unfortunately i am not a carpenter. How many plants did it take to get that yield?

This is not to show off. This is the very first time i tried. Schwag seeds, Miracle-gro soil and fert w/ a touch of extra Nitrogen. The shittiest fluorescent fixture from home depot and tap water. No ph control. I just got lucky. 5/6 plants femmed.

Now I just need to do a touch more pricing, research for my new lightts.
