So I reading up on these t5s and I like the fact of low energy cost. But I dont like the light penetration :-/. I plan on switching up my grow room by my next grow. So I need some advice ladies n gents! Any and all input is appreciated!

600 watt hps and a good hood makes for a good 4x4 thats for sure. how much space you have to work with?

I was thinking bout making a bigger grow box. Currently have 3x3x7 with a 6oo hps. Any suggestions?

t5s are only ok for veg. hps is the way to go for flower. hps is even great for veg. better than a t5 of the same wattage. hps rules over all! plasmas look promising. leds are too expensive and cover way too small of an area. dont worry about the electric bill. it will pay for itself.

gonna have a hell of a time keeping it cool i'd imagine. you will need an air cooled reflector. i would go 4x4 or 5x5.

Ill just stick with the hps. n Maybe get a 6oo mh for veg?

check out Nugbuckets Mainlining thread over in subcool old school organic. Uses 600 w hps over a 4x4x4. pulls an elbo or more a lamp (under 600s) off of 4 plants.

HO T5s, especially when using bulbs from aquarium industry flower just fine, also no problem with penetration. You would need 1-2 smaller ones for that space
