switching lights to 8 hours on 16 hours off

hi all i fink my himalaya is ready to chop as the calyxs have swollen and theres been a growth spurt in the 8th week of flower. im now in week 10 of flower but cant seem to see any amber trichs. will switching the light to 8 hours speed up ripening and give me amber trichs?? also can low temps effect the trich colour as my temps are 60 lights on 50 lights off???

some strains are weird and the trich's wont amber up until after you harvest them. I am not sure about the Himalaya because I haven't grown that strain yet. (I did order it with others but when the seeds came that was one of the strains that had a cracked seed) You can try shock ripening. Keep the plants in total dark for a few days while giving them cold water.
 
mite leave her a few days then try keeping her in the dark for 36 hours. + rep for quick response
 
Ya she should be ready any day. Its about a 9 to 10 week strain. Let me know how she smokes.

The method is called shock Ripening. When you leave them in darkness and give them cold water

PS Thanks for the Rep. I been gone awhile (had to quit growing for awhile) and it seems when you don't post for awhile you loose a lot of rep. I only got 1 dot under my Mr. Ganja title.
