Switching Light from 12/12 to 18/6 for LST.

Hey guys, I just recently found out about LST and it would really help my plant since I don't really have much leaves. Problem is, I've been on 12/12 light cycle for almost 2 weeks now and the sex has just begun to show about 3 days ago. (Yes it's a female) I was wondering if I could go back to 18/6 so I can start to re veg using the LST method so that i can get a few extra leaves before I began to flower again. Would this be a good idea?
This is how it looks. (About a month and 2 weeks old)

I have heard that it can take up to 3 weeks to return to veg state, it will be stressed due to seasons "going backwards". Other than that i believe it can be done fairly successfully, but i do not have any experience with this. Honestly don't know if it would be worth all the trouble, but if you decide to do it, i think it should be closer to the light, then it wont stretch so bad.

WOAH 3 weeks? Does that mean I won't see any growth in 3 weeks?
Also, IF I do switch back, I'm using the LST method to grow out my leaves in the middle...

Btw thanks for the reply, I've been refreshing this page for the past half hour with no replies. Thankyou, lol.

Well it's already starting it's second week of flowering, and people have told me that I'll have a small yield because my middle leaves are so small. So I wanted to go back to veg to do some LST growing so I can get those middle leaves to get bigger and then put it back into flower once they get as big as the other ones.

I think that specific plant will not be a strong yeilder because it is not a big plant. if it is in its second week of flower at that size i would be expecting the world from it. don't be discouraged. quantity does not equal quality. i would keep the plant in its current light state and not induce the stress of a light cycle shift. doing this will allow you to concentrate on making the plant as potent as possible. think about adding a finisher, like 'Overdrive', possibly supplementing CO2 and/or UV-B lighting.

thanks for the info shark, it is my first grow anyways so I guess just getting any bud from it would be a success. I actually went into this grow not knowing much, but I've learned ALOT from it and from everyone on this forum that gave me tips and advice. So I guess I did get something out of it either way. I'll have a much better experience with my next grow and I've gotten a seed from a friend that has what he calls "lavender kush" and it is reallly good stuff.

Well now the question I'm left with is should I still try to do the LST method with this plant even in it's flowering stage? Or should I just leave it as is...

Well, I have never tried it. It sounds fairly labor intensive/per plant from what i understand. But, from the pictures of your plant though, it doesn't look like much would have to be done. With the amount of foliage on this little guy it is already getting a large amount of light penetration. if it fills out as it grows fuller in flower stage, i would say it might be worth it to ensure maximum light penetration. If you would like to use the LST tying method instead of the lollipop method that would be just as easy in my opinion.

Dont even do it.
The stem has already built up its strength going upwards.
Try to go back now will stress it, break the stem, and proboly turn into a hermi.
Not worth it.
Lets it GROW :)

You know what, I think I'll just leave it as is. It's my 1st grow, I'll be happy with what ever I'll get. How much grams do you think I would be able to get? I know it won't be much but can you give me a guesstimate based on the pictures?

I agree with everyone else, i would just let her go, add as much light as possible. I would add some flower nutes for sure. If nothing else go to the local hydro shop and get whatever is cheapest. Good luck, use all of this as a learning experience.
