Switch to LED advice - limited vertical space

Recently back to the growing hobby, used HPS in the past like most folks. Looking to switch to LEDs but so many choices out there, so much info to catch up with.

My grow tent is roughly 2ft wide x 3ft long x only 3ft tall - (60cm x 90cm x 1m) - a tent normally used for seedlings and veg. Still using that one - and not willing to buy a taller one, not necessarily because of stealth reasons, but rather convenience and available space/placement in my house.

I did many successful grows in it, years ago - using either cfl or a 150w hps ( was even considering a 250watter at some point, but not sure about the heat output in such a small space)

I am familiar with LST of course, was doing it every grow, due to height restrictions.

Now there are so many LED lights out there I feel a bit lost in all this info - from what I understood, I would need a fixture with around 1000 PPFD? at 30 cm max distance, so that the plants do not get light burn.

Any kind of help/additional advice is much appreciated!

If you can manage height under a 150W HPS, then you won't have any problems growing under a LED. You'll want a LED in the 200W range to fit into that space. Aything from 150-250W depending on what sort of yields you want. Try to find something that fits the rectangular shape of the area. It's hard to recommend a light because we produce our own, so I'm biased. And I'm not sure where you are and what's available to you.

A long, long, long time ago I used to grow in a 3x2 with a 250W HPS, so it can be done. A smiliar sized LED will produce much less heat and more light. If you are really concerned about height and stretch, maybe look for a LED with a little bit more blue in it, around the 4000-4500K range to reduce stretch. But if you LST and you know your strain, then a 3000K LED with a bit of far red in it will be more than manageable.

If the footprint of the tent is truly 2'x3', this SUNRAISE would be a perfect fit with excellent distribution of light over the entire footprint. I have several lights from SUNRAISE, and they did well for me. There used to be discount codes floating around for their stuff, not sure if you can find one. I mainly point out this one because of the exact fit for the space. Also, since the LEDs are not too crammed tight together on the sinks, the boards don't get too hot to the touch. It has a dimmer. Whatever LED you get, be sure to get something with a dimmer. Amazon link below.

Measure the distance between the support poles in your tent. It would be a tight fit.

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated!
The hanging poles are movable, along the length of the tent so no problem there, I even have 3 of them, and I can buy them individually as spare parts. Tent is a Secret Jardin Dark Propagator so plenty of individual spare parts available here, of all kinds.

The only more known brands available in this part of the world are the Mars Hydro, ViparSpectra, Philzon and Gavita, to name a few.

I am aware that MH and Vipar are more on the budget side, but I've seen people do successful grows with them on the growdiaries website.

There are many other local brands, some of them quite expensive, due to the components probably (samsung diodes etc), but I've never seen those in action, hence my questions about what PPFD, etc.

zypheruk, who hasn't been around for a while now grew some smashing plants with limited height.
It might give you some ideas.

For your size limitations I would invest in MIGROLIGHT - https://migrolight.com/collections/aray - these are very nice and cost effective yet very good quality and you can get it on Amazon!

I ordered four of these for a 20" x 36". Prices are Australian, it was something like $160 USD with shipping.
