Switch time Fluorescent to 1000 hps

I am six days in, my plants are about 3 inches high and doing pretty good under a small fluorescent light. How long il I switch to my 1000 watt hps? Thanks for reading

I would like to the answer as well, bump... I want to say 2-3 weeks

if you don't have to worry about room the veg as long as you want to. flower time is 8 to 10 weeks pending strain.

How powerful do you think the flourescent should be, i am using 24 watts for over ten plants, is that chill, or do i need to up my power?

If you don't have anything under your HPS. then I suggest you veg under the HPS.
Your girls will grow alot bigger, alot faster under the HPS.

At a week in? or should I wait a lil longer? If I do switch now how far away, 12 inches or is that too close when they are young?

12 in. I would say is way too close for a baby.
Probably safer at about 2 feet away for the time being.
They are going to quickly shorten that gap once they bathe under that light for a few days.
Is your hood air-cooled?If so, You have less to worry about.
