Sweet Homemade Ducting, what do you think?

So i was sitting in one of my classes thinking about how a poor college student could save money and not have to buy air duct for my grow space exhaust. Well here it is, let me know what you think.

Supplies:

Hand cranked can opener
As many empty beer cans as you can find
Good Ol' Duct Tape

Step by step

Using the can opener, remove the top and the bottom from the can. Here is what mine looked like after this:

Repeat with another can, then using the duct tape, tape the cans together with the bottom of one to the top of the other. I was really surprised at how well these fit together, I almost didnt even need the duct tape. Heres a few more pics:

I know this creates a tube much smaller than the usual air duct, but its better than nothing, which is what i have right now. Personally thought this was pretty cool, let me know what you all think. Thanks.

Oh yeah and gotta love the NATTY LIGHT my personal favorite :-P

Pretty cool duct and I note by your reading material that I might expect to see you on the WSOP tour soon? How will we know you - pot leaf in you hat?

Hahaha I didnt even notice that that was in the background. Ill wear a big RollItUp badge on my hat just for everyone here at RIU when I make the final table haha. Thanks for the comments man.

i love this idea might be a little tricky to do a bend but airduct cost likt 5-8 bucks for 8 feet....8 feet of cans well thats a fun night. good way to recycle thoes emptys

Know what else works oddly well for higher volume is a string of garbage bags with the bottoms cut off, connected to any fan pushing air.. If done well theres virtually no turbulance/friction..

I kinda like this idea but one thought did spring to mind.. "why didn't you spend the beer money on improving your grow?" :P

nevertheless, +Rep for thinking outside of the box!

the bending would be easy it would just involve math. cut one side of the can shorter so that when its tapped on it is at an angle. You probly won't be able to do large angles at one time but multiple cans. This is a great idea for the broke people out there that have money for booze ;)
