Sweating buds?

Does anyone sweat their buds? Ie cut fresh, bag fresh for like a day, then hang dry. I'm honestly not sure.

Sticky with resin when you start busting them up for sure. That humidity range is all pretty close, shouldn't really feel different at that RH.

"Sweating" buds isn't going to make a difference except for perhaps mold. Chop 'em and dry 'em.

the well trimmed is 59%humidity
The other is 52%
The 52% has a stickiness too it, on touch.
The 59% is very firm and very little stickiness.
They both smell great.
The 52% has that dispensary stickiness that I want.
You think 59 is too high? It's so opposite to me, honestly strange.

Sounds like a myth. Sticky weed is a myth.

Find the guy with weed you like and ask him what he does. Because quality is subjective these days.

I cured LVTK and it was sticky if you kinda squazed it while bending a bud open.
Many strains have oily buds why is it a myth?

Sweating buds like that sounds like a good way to get mold if you're in a relatively high RH area... As for your RH% for curing anywhere between 55 - 65 is the "sweet zone" but anywhere above or below those thresholds you start running into the issue of too much moisture, which equates to mold, OR too low of moisture which equates to a loss in terpenes and probably cannabinoids as well. I personally like to sit at the 65% range due to the buds looking "stickier" as well as them retaining more smell and flavor. Other benefits include the obvious which is a slight increase in weight, and in my climate which is pretty dry, the ability to not have my weed dry out to dust in my grinder overnight. A downside I've noticed is the buds cure a hell of a lot slower than the usual 60-62%. No idea why, and I've never tested to see if they last longer due to the longer cure (never had any left).
