I have a 400 watt hps I was wanting to know if my ballest would also work for a mh? Can I simply take out the hps bulb and put in a 400 watt mh bulb?
swap hps for mh?

If you have a digital ballast you can. If you don't, I don't think it would work. Not 100% sure though.
