I really have come to love the gentle surgery in removing stubborn seed shells. Coaxing it off with my sewing pin, tweezers & straight razor. Rolling off and getting rid of the membrane is always a good time. Here's to the summer season......
I find myself performing seed shell surgery on most of my seedlings. In the past I lost a few waiting for them to open naturally. Lesson learned, now I help them out and have had excellent germination results
