Super Noob QUestion regarding cloning

If you take a cutting from a female plant that was a regular seed. Assume it wasn't a hermie at the time of cutting. Does this usually result in female clones?

We haven't used reg seeds in a long long while.

Clones are exactly the same as what you clone from including age and sex.
So if it was a mature female
So will be the clone
