Hey guys I am growing in 3 gallon containers. The plants are about three weeks old I feel like the plants are spending more energy growing big leaves. I can't even tell the sex yet.

They look to be very indica dominant and will have big fat leaves and be overall shorter in stature. sex will show after about two weeks in flower. Looks like u might have some high temps.

First things first. Clearly those plants are 100 percent indica ( short lengths between nodes, short fat leaves, etc) so leaves like those are normal to an extent. The actual "big leafs" you are referring to are the water leads and that is there only function. To keep plants trimmed and neat you can off two of the water leaves at a time without much stress. Seeing how you are doing hydro, the water leaves of the plants are not as crucial to it growing so they can be removed( i normally cut the two biggest leaves i can find, once every two weeks. The leaves are for sure over sized compared to what ive seen but that may also be a trait of the strain your growing. The plant will be very short and bushy so make sure that when flowing begins you cut out any leaves that crows the buds.
