Sounds like your starting to think outside of the box......Indians used all of the plant and so shall you...

I think I got bad advice on this one. I never should have topped so late. It has been 8 days since I topped, and 3 days since I switched to 12/12 and there has been NO NEW GROWTH on either of these plants. At best this is going to really fuck up bud production using all their energy to grow those tops back. I'm considering reverting these two plants back to 18/6 for a week or two as they look like I just topped them yesterday (NO NEW GROWTH)!

So for anyone stumbling upon this thread down the road finding themselves in a similar situation, here is what you should do. A) don't super crop unless you have at least 3 weeks of veg left B) don't top unless you have at least 2 weeks of veg left. C) if you are going to super crop AND top, you should be willing to commit an extra 3-4 weeks to the veg cycle(NEVER super crop and/or top just a few days or week prior to flipping to 12/12, as I was advised to do! D) Once you bend the top of the plant over, STAKE IT DOWN or it will just grow back up (which is the simple answer I wish I had received when I posted this thread originally last week.) Lastly, super cropping can add an additional 3-4 weeks of veg time to your grow so don't do it unless you are patient and have the time.

I have supercropped before and had some huge results.

I don't bend the plants though. A grower of some of the best herb I've ever had taught me a different, but similar technique.

What he told me to do instead of bending the stalk was too pinch it. I grab the stalk between my thumb and middle finger and squeeze until I feel the stalk give. You can feel the hollow part (inside) of the stalk collapse. Rotate your fingers and squeeze again on the other 2 sides of the stalk and then repeat every 3 inches between nodes.

When the stalks get big you might have to use your other thumb and middle finger on top of your already pinched fingers to collapse the stalk because they get so thick and strong.

What happened was huge knuckles would form where the stalk was pinched and cause the main stalk and all of the other shoots and stems to become thicker and rock hard.

I started blueberry clones under a 430agro for veg and 1000hortilux hps for flower. I grew 6 blueberry's going and harvested 2 pounds. Around 5 ounces per plant.

I would do the technique 3 times during veg, 1 week a part. Give your plant 1-2 weeks after the last time before you flower to make sure your plant has bounced back from the stress.

On the blueberry harvest I also topped once. The topping and supercropping adds a month to a month and a half to your grow but will give you huge yields.

The combo is great if you want to do really small numbers and still yield a lot. I have quit both methods since because these days I enjoy exploring new strains and doing SOG in hydro allows me to try out 5-6 strains a year.

2lbs dry? That's a great harvest. Do you have any pics?

But yeah, depending on strain, I think people should make sure they have at least 2 weeks, and preferably 3 weeks before flowering if they are going to attempt this method. 9 days and there is NO new growth after cropping and topping. I really wish I had just lightly bent the top over and tied it down.

No pics. I just found RIU. This is the first time I've documented with pics. Only notes before.

Yes, some strains aren't good for topping. Supercropping has worked good with every strain I've tried it on though.

After the blueberry I gew medusa. The blueberry had huge colas but was mostly indica. The medusa was mostly sativa and had buds dispersed more evenly throughout the plant so the two top colas wasn't really beneficial. It just added extra time to the grow.

About the huge blueberry colas. When I plucked the biggest one it was ashy grey inside. Bud rott :( It would have weighed around an ounce dry.

TIP: I found that with huge buds, if you take a tooth pick and GENTLY pry open the buds every once and a while you can keep bud rot from forming. Just pry them open a tiny bit so some fresh air can enter the bud cavities
