Sunlight or CFL's?

I get direct sunlight in my room for about 4 hours a day, I am assuming it makes more sense to put my plants under sunlight than under the CFL's for those few hours, because I have only 65,500 lumens to each plant. (is this true?)

However, I would have to stay by my window just to make sure no pesky peeping Toms accidently sneek a peek!

I am assuming that my effort would pay of though....

Sorry if I already posted this question my computer lost internet connection and I don't see the other thread anywhere.

Sounds like a pain in the ass to me... and risky.

BTW there's no way you have 65K lumens per plant. :)

too much messing about.
yes the sun is best, but plants like to stay in the same place.
they dont like change.
just the same thing, day in day out.

do chance it .. an 65,000lmmens?! the sun puts only puts out 10,000lummnes a sq ft!!! wtf kind of CFL;s u got?!?! i want some of those bad mofos haha.. buttt butt butttt

just keep em under cfl's 24/0 ..ull be good..

IMO...

Don't put so much emphasis on Lumens. Lumen's as themselves is not what a plant needs. There is more to it.

Just my 2 cents.

True but without a good amount of lumens (intensity of light), your never going to go anywhere with a grow because your plants will never receive any light even if your growing with light in the correct spectrum.

so lights out of my moms lamp arent going to work if im trying to grow in ym closet?

Lamp? Like a luminescenet bulb?
MOst people will tell you they don't work, but I actually veg'd 8 plants with a fair amount of success under a 40W lamp that I just coated the inside of with foil. The things I will do when I need to grow...
However, on the long term, bad idea. luminescent light puts emphasis on stem growth, so you get these long-, thin-stemmed plants with less ruffage and a higher chance of wilting.

a plant will stretch to any light, but needs blue spec for vegg and red for 12/12.
the 4 plants you vegged, have you still got them, hate to see the buds.
what did you grow them with, a bedroom lamp, with a red bulb.lol:mrgreen::mrgreen:
