Sunlight issues

hey all, ive recently germinated about 11 seeds and thrown them in some pots with some high quality potting mix, i put them in yesterday morning and there was sun everywhere. Today is very cloudy and there have only been intervals of sunlight.. is this bad?.. i would probably start them off inside, but my house mates dont really approve.

ALSO
Its forcast for tommorow is cloudy and showers, Should i cover them up ?.. or can they tollerate this?

If the rain is a problem, could i possibly leave the humidity tents over them to protect them from the rain?.

CHEERS!

during the first couple weeks you dont want intense light so youll be ok...as long as its not dark...the thing is by not starting inside its gonnna be hard to keep goin good

I would say get them out of direct sun, put a humidity dome over them, and keep them moist until they sprout. Not wet, just moist.Pop the top off each day to supply fresh air. Most folks germ in the dark, and little sprouts are tender for the first couple of weeks.Make sure the temps don't drop below 50 at night. Usually I think germination takes place when temps are in the 60's. After they've sprouted, give them a week under the humidity dome before you remove it.To combat fungus or damping off, sprinkle a little cinnamon on the soil. After they grow a couple of weeks in partial sun, you can start moving them to more direct light for longer each day to toughen them up.Then water only when the soil is dry to about an inch in,usually every two or three days.No nutes for the first month.

no,even though its cloudy it still gets sun just not direct sun.Direct sun will not hurt it during early stages of life,i know because i do it every year, humidity domes are not required for more then a few days of growth, once they have established a tap root they go in direct sun and no problems:weed:

Thanks for clearing that up, I'd hate to misinform someone. I've never grown outdoor. But shouldn't they be in the dark or at least not full sun to sprout?EDIT: nevermind, brain is broken, you already answered that before I asked, duh.

Phew, thanks guys:), now i need to create a humidity dome, any suggestions on how?..lol.. dont really have much shit laying around.

They should be fine,as long as they are not getting to much, but then again i have put seeds straight into the ground as is,and took them all the way to harvest,i think as long as you start with good healthy seeds its all good, weak seeds will equal a weaker plant, but im sure you know that already:eyesmoke:You should try and outdoor grow this year:twisted:

Get some clear plastic cups and tape them upside down onto the pots, if they're small. If they're one gallon pots, or big pots, use a ziplock bag turned upside down or some plastic wrap, just make sure to lift it every day and keep the soil moist.

I gave my clones to someone who's gonna grow them outdoors. If I had a big piece of property or a secret place where I wouldn't get caught, I would give outdoor a try.

not really,if you don't have one its ok they can survive nature on there own so i think they can live without them, cannabis is self sufficiant we just give it that little extra but not to much, the less you skrew around with it the better it does, trust me trial and error at its prime:twisted:But like i said if they are already out let them be changing to many things around will cause stress to them, also if you get some that die you know those are the weakest links and the hardiest of the bunch will be left and leave you with good strong genetics:joint:

I sprout seeds in 6 inch pots outside in the sun when its 90 degrees, keep it moist, and covered with soil in the shade of a tree, always works, sprouts pop, and strait into direct sunlight right after. everything works out fine.... never had a problem with seedlings.... its the clones you gotta watch out for, :P ....

Well i took stoney's advice, on the locktie bags and there perfect fit, soil is fairly moist, i should see some success soon?.. Thanks for all your help guys.

yup, seeds are easy. plant, keep the soil moist but not soggy and let them go:weed:

Sick as=], thanks once agaiN!
np,yea just make sure the soil stays moist but not soggy or too dry the roots are delicate in the start, other then that give them about 4-6 hours direct light the rest can be shade or weaker light they will be fine like that, and with the way it is right now they should grow like crazy well here in cali its good weather anyways:eyesmoke:

Just do like tokes said, don't leave them on too long. And if you're worried about fungus, go ahead and sprinkle cinnamon on the soil as a preventative measure.I use it all the time, it doesn't hurt them.
