Sunburnt leaves

Hey, a friend left his plant on the window ledge and the sun has burnt a few of the leaves. The tips are yellow but slowly the healthy part of the leaf is withering aswell. Can anything be done

Cover the leaves wit spf 50 before putting in the sun.

keep it out of direct sunlight for so many hours. Slowly work it up to full sunlight. The bigger they are the less this is an issue..

So you're saying that big plants can be adopted to sunlight really fast?

He did that and the leaves got worse

Your plants or your freinds plants are like little baby humans. you wouldnt take your newborn into the sun with out first trying to protect them first. put your plants in a window whare ther isnt direct sun light for a couple of days. and gently move them into the direct sun light.
and I hope you freind didnt really put sun block on his plant. And if for some reason that he did. wash of the leaves with a spray bottle with luke warm water with a drop of mild dish soap. gently wipe the leaves off and rinse with luke warm water.
