Sump pump with good head height - need a recommendation

Hi Guys,

I need to swap my Eheim CompactON 2100 L/h pump for something that can pump and hold right pressure @2m height and supply 50x 8L/h pressure compensating drippers.

Not sure of the HP/wattage needed. Flow rate is not that important but it needs to hold >0.7bar of pressure @2m height
It would be good if it would have min suction height <25mm

Could anyone recommend a good, mid priced pump that would thick all the boxes?

Cheers

That pump will do 67ft or about 20m. I used 2lph pcd`s for a precision drip system, I charge an accumulator with a 100psi pump and use the charged tank to run the pcd`s via a pressure reducer, solenoid and cycle timer. The drippers are attached to a modular manifold so they are all in one place. lines carry the water to where its needed. I can add or remove drippers in seconds, with an accumulator there`s no limit to how many drippers.i can run.

Just to clarify, "it needs to hold >0.7bar of pressure @2m height" is the same as saying "it needs to hold 10.15psi at 2.91psi" ;) (27" or 0.686m of head is equal to 1 psi)
Pcd`s typically need 7psi-40psi, within that pressure range the pcd flowrate will remain consistant, 8LPH for yours, 2LPH for mine.

I'm not an expert in those things :P . My understanding was, that head height is max height that the pump can lift the liquid and if it bearly does lift it to 2m, the pressure is very weak at that level. My bad ;)

Ok, while this is clear now I still dont get where did You get 20m from and what it is for? Head height ? Distance ?

The pcd's I'll be using (Nerafim PCJ LCNL) have 0.7-4bar working pressure range.

I was looking at this pump and not sure if its not an overkill for what I need https://www.amazon.co.uk/Clarke-PSP105-Puddle-Pump-Sensor/dp/B015HZZ9EY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1537808274&sr=8-1&keywords=Psp105

Aye, its head height, 30psi is equal to 810 inches or 20.57m head. The pcds will operate with between 0.7 bar(10.15 psi) and 4 bar (58psi) pressure. Anywhere in that pressure range they will deliver 8LPH because they are pressure compensated drippers ;) You will only need a flowrate of 400LPH for 50 drippers. The sump pump can only provide 8.75 psi (6m head), so its a few psi short of the pcd minimum pressure (10.15psi or 6.96m head). You dont need a mega 6000LPH pump if the drippers will only allow 400LPH to pass through them ;)

This has 2 meter height, Bayite 12V DC Fresh Water Pump with 2 Hose Clamps 12 Volt Diaphragm Pump Self Priming Sprayer Pump with Pressure Switch 4.5 L/Min 1.2 GPM 80 PSI Adjustable

Just set this up for my system.

My new setup.

OK, change in irrigation system. Day 25 of veg. Increased the rez from a two rez system with a capacity of 15 to 20 gallons to a single 35 gallon rez, running around 25 gallons in the tank.
Went with a 12V, 1 gallon per minute, @ 80 psi, 120V to 12V reducer and a 30 psi pressure reducer.

A bit cleaner setup, no more drip ring, using adjustable stream heads.

This manifold is from my original setup from years ago when I was growing in my DIY cabinet, I kept it and glad I did.

Got roots? Just love my Smart Pots, Canna Coco and Great White!

Did a test run, this new system seems to wet the medium more even than past methods.
The plants are, as stated previously, very Indica dominate. One is 21 inches, two more of the 5 are just under that and the last two are around 16 inches. As fast as they took off after germination I expect them to be growing more.
If you have grown Big Buddha Cheese what are your experiences?
