Suggestions on LED for 2’X2’ cab

Hey everyone, it’s been a while. I have been looking to try a LED set up for some time but don’t really know where or what to start with.

I will be setting it up in a fridge that I have converted into a grow cab. The dimensions are 26”x26”x 54”

After doing some research of my own I was thinking of going with one of these options

1-TIMBER GROW LIGHT 200wVero29 V7 COB DIY kit or one of the pre built fixtures

2- RAPID LED chilled logic grow fixture or a Vero29 Triple COB array kit

3- SAMSUNG LED STRIP and build something for a 2x2 with instructions from the website led gardener

Any recommendations or information would be much appreciated since I’m having a hard time comparing with no experience with LED

You're gonna need every inch of height you can possibly get in there. Definitely use strips so you're whole fixture is less than 1/2" tall. Have the driver outside and you'll be better off.

Get one or two 288 or 304 'quantum boards', aka pcb lighting. Can get them from HLG or Alibaba competitors.
You will like those. Look up LM301b OR even LM561C diode on ali to get an idea.

or look into LM301H... new kid in the crowd.

Is the wiring pretty straight forward to hook up? Just soldered together?

As far as the light goes is it best to get one color like a 3500k? or a variety? I would like to use the same fixture for veg and flowering

Strips. And also mount some on the sides. For side lighting. I love my samsungs. So much that I'm building another one for my other flower tent. And right now you can get the bridgelux vesta strips on the cheap. 280mm for under 5 bucks. Or 560mm for 10 bucks. The 560mm would fit perfectly bc they are only 22.04", long. I'd just line the top and each side with strips. Run them horizontally. I'd put 10 on each side and some ontop. Mount the pans to the inside of the fridge then mount the strips to the pans. But bc youd be running that many strips. You could run them softer for heat. You have more sources of light. Or if money isnt ab issue for your build. Go with 1120mm samsungs and stand them up vertically on the sides. And 560mm on the top. They would flower the shit out of a fridge. Post some pics of it after you build. Be pretty cool to see finished up.

My first build I did 3000k samsung f562b's with 2700k Samsung 96 lm561c s06 diodes on a sunboard. With 633nm deep red I think they were 633's and 660nm HE photo reds.

The build I'm doing now is a mix of both 3000k and 4000k. All 4k will still flower very very well. Mix the spectrum to based on what you want for an outcome of medicine. Only having 54" height. If you mix spectrum. I would be heavy on 4k to help keep stretch down.

If you go with Bridgelux Vesta strips. They have a row of 2700k and row of 5000k. Run on separate channels. If you are vegging and flowering in the fridge they would be awesome. You can crank the 2700k doen during veg. Then bring them up when going into flower... the 5k mixed will help stretch some.

No soldering. Wagos and quick connects. The strips have push in connectors.

Awesome thanks. Where is a good place to order everything??

so the idea with the baking sheet is it acts as a heatsink?
Yeah. But a little tip. Go to home depot and get you some 3/4" aluminum U channel. And some aluminum angle. 1/2×1/2 or 3/4×3/4 use the U channel for the heatsink. Then the angle for end piece to bolt the end of the strip to the angle. One on each side. Done. Better cooling than the baking pan.
