Suggestions for first grow

I am growing a single plant in a 15" x 15" X 40" box. I currently have 2 27W daylight CFLs approximately 2" from the soil. Should I add any additional CFLs for this setup or will that be good? The box is completely white and is hopefully getting some good reflectivity. I plan on going 24/0 for vegging and the soil is Scotts Premium potting soil.

add as many as u can...i would try and get atleast 1 55 watt cfl...u will also need 2700k lights for flowering

Doesn't Scotts have built in nutes? If so just make sure you don't overwater or water too often.....let the seedling seek seek seek......more lighting will be beneficial as long as you contro temps....

Thanks I will probably add two more CFLs. Would adding some 2700k lights right now benefit at all?

It won't hurt anything....they're just not the optimal color range but if that's all you have, do add'em....good luck.

it wont affect the veg stage its just like anyother light but its a must in the flowering stage

Thanks guys. I'm thinking about adding a small amount of sugar to my water.

i would go with straight water for now sugar can make ur bud harsh and cause it to rot...becareful and go luck bro

Alright thanks man. I picked up two more daylight bulbs and unfortunately thats all the budget can handle right now.
