Perky again?

They droop like that, after you give them a big drink dude. I think you're all G. Maybe just a little less next time? It was good to soak them. Definitely. They just took a little too long to dry/drink.
Maybe you watered too late in the day?

Well as I say I’m cautious of overwatering so they probably get just enough to look fine. Then I gave them a more water than usual (but still not drowning them ) and this was the result. As you say maybe too late in the day. My lights run all night though so not sure about why they went like this. Hopefully after a couple of days they will perk up. I’m a newbie so I’m just very keen on spotting toxicity/deficiency. Maybe too cautious

Gave them just water(used a soil moisture gauge) and watered them until it said moist. They perked back up but Within 24 hours. It said dry again so I checked the soil and it did feel dry but not like a desert. I watered them again I had run off and the Now they are drooping again. I thought I had cracked it. So this morning Iv just watered one of them with a litre until the gauge was halfway moist just to see if it would perk up. It’s been two hours and nothing so far

The image of one plant is the one I have watered again and the other image is of the lot of them.

Help appreciated

Go by what you see and feel (weight of the pot), fuck the moisture gauges, as you can tell they don't work. My advise, find an empty pot similar to what you are growing in, fill it with your medium, lift it up and notice the weight, this is the totally dry weight. Then water it until run off, lift the pot and notice the weight, this is the wet weight. Then calibrate your brain and arms accordingly, water when its on the dry side of the scale, don't when its on the wet side. That easy. Small plants drink less than large ones..

Go by weight, dont go by feel of the soil, you are definitely overwatering. Wait another day before you water. As the plants get older and have more root zone, the plants are heavier, this weight will change over time so you will have to adjust accordingly.

Just had a thought. Could this be caused by them being rootbound? Iv just repotted one as I had a spare larger pot. The current ones were just cheap pots with no capacity label on them so I filled an empty one to the brim and it took 7 litres. The plants are reaching 30-40cm now from soil to tip. I repotted one yesterday as I had a larger one spare and the roots were quite dense.

As long as they are getting what they need, being rootbound shouldnt be a problem. I have 2 plants currently in 2 gal pots that couldn't grow anymore roots in it if they tried, I cant even stick my finger 1/8 inch into the soil anymore it's so compacted. While it probably could give you problems. I dont think this is the case
