I learned how to grow on bagseed. The major drawback is the high rate of hermaphrodites.
Most of the schwag in my region is sativa so it grows tall and is not suited for many indoor grows.
All in all, bagseed is a great, and cheap, way to learn how to grow. But you can't beat commercial seeds when you feel you are ready to turn a corner in your growing.

I've had a successful indoor grow from bagseed and am in the midst of a small outdoor grow that I'm sure will also be successful.

nice! my bag seeds i planted were really small..... like.... about the size of 3 strawberry seeds.. do u think it will still work?

People have, your bagweed is probably good pot. It was just harvested, dried, cured, and handled wrong, in addition to being allowed to become pollinated. If you grow it well, harvest it at the right time, keep the males away, cure and dry it properly it will still be the best pot you've ever smoked.
That being said, around your 7th week of flower, you're going to wish your twenty females that are prepared to bless you with two pounds were of primo genetics. In the grand scheme of things, the bill you lay down for good seeds is going to pay off in the end.
