Sub i watched probably 13 weednerds on my days off and one thing you said in one of them is that you check the PH of your SS and when it reaches 7.0 it is done activating. At least that is what i can remember... Please elaborate on this, my only reason for concern is my SS is activating in 50F weather and i know its doing its thing a lil slower then the 6weeks, or not?

I know its just dirt, but their is A LOT of science going on in your mix.

So, does the PH start out low and go up to a 7.0, or does it start high and drop to a 7.0.

Mine tested at 7.4 at week 5 of activating in 50f weather.

Thank you sub, just ordered Agent Orange & Vortex a couple days ago for Attitudes "lucky 7" promo.

SOOOOO STOKED BRO!

I think i remember reading him say that it starts low, and gos up. My guess is your good to go based off that. 2cents.

Basically the ph of supersoil is low (5.?)after mixing with the ingredients given, but after activating or "cooking"(as has been posted this does not require heat, just a basic composting) the dolomite lime in the mix has broken down along with some of the acidic nutrients and raises the ph to a neutral 7.0 which is why you add lime to the soil in the first place along with it providing calcium and magnesium

Looking at your personal situation I do not know why you are at 7.4, heck I don't even ever ph test my supersoil and don't have any problems but dolomite should bring that closer to 7.0, it is its target point. Also 50F should not be a huge problem, "cooking" is a relative term, as sub has said it more means to let the mix activate, it doesn't require heat, as the nutrients mixed in break down they provide some of their own heat like a compost pile... that is how it "cooks"

Thank you, sounds right... I never PH either, not even when i used GO, Bio-Canna, or EJ, i did this only cause Sub said it would tell me it was done and cause i think it WOULD ANSWER THE AGE OLD QUESTION: DO YOU PH ORGANICS? well with what i've learned organics will stabilize its PH to one place or another and the plants the can deal with it do, and grow happily there. Sub just created the 'ideal' soil situation for Weed.
