stupid question about entering flowering

now that my plant is absolutely in the flowering stage and producing large clusters of petals what would happen if i returned the lighting to 18/6?

i assume it freaks out and dies because it somehow had the shortest winter ever.

does the flowering hormone that is suppressed by light continue to affect the plant through the flowering stage?

what if instead of the 12/12 i bumped it up to like 15/9?

i'm essentially just curious about why.

I wouldn't experiment with the light timing, but I always did 11/13

It will grow strange for 2 - 3 weeks until it adjusts itself back to 18/6 lighting. By switching you are just adding extra weeks to your grow. If you want to veg it some more the plant won't die it will keep growing.
