strong scent before lights out!need advice!!

I've been told that I should harvest before my lights turn on,after a period of night!and even though I've been letting mine sit for 48 hours now in complete dark,getting ready to harvest in the AM!But every night before my lights turn off is when my aroma is the strongest!Ive noticed it every night for the the pasr 2 weeks that in the final two hours before my lights will turn off the scent is the strongest (noticeably)!The smell is present for the first 10 hours but it's at its peak at hours 11 and 12!Does this mean I should cut mine down at night or should I still cut them in the am before Sun up?

The prevailing wisdom seems to be to harvest at the end of the dark period to reduce the amount of starch/sugars and moisture in your buds. If I understand correctly, this should reduce your drying time and it purges out starches that will effect the taste/quality/harshness of your smoke.

Remember the plant is a living, breathing organism that does different things at night than in the daytime which helps explain why you smell it more at the end of the daytime/light cycle.

Wait til you chop em and that smell kicks up 10x for the next week.

In a blind test, you'd never know the difference. Don't overthink it.
