Stretching during flower

Hi guys! I have a thread going in indoor growing I have 2 Tahoe OG plants 1 white widow and 1 cheese plant. I have a 600W MH/HPS light and I am using DWC with some advanced nutes and some others as well. I'm getting increasingly concerned about ceiling height in my tent. My light is almost maxed out(got about 4" more to go up) and it seems like they are still stretching slightly after going to 12/12. It's my 4th week in, from others with experience, how long does the major stretch last after going from the vegetative state to flowering?

Here is some pictures of I need any more info for you guys let me know!

The smallest plant is the cheese. To the left is the Tahoe OG and behind the cheese is Tahoe OG as well. The one behind the cheese started showing pistils first and has the biggest buds so far. The white widow is the least visible in that picture and is also very swelled up and beautiful looking. I gave it a major trim and took a ton of fan leaves off of everything yesterday.. So I am looking forward to seeing the buds swell! I gotta stop this stretch before I run out of room though! Any advice would be great! I begged for one month as well.

In pic #2 the white widow is the back left plant in the middle

Here is the lovely white widow. I've had grows before with CFL's even upwards of 6-700 watts and the very last one I did had 500W of cFl and also a 150w HPS and nothing looked close to this. 4 weeks in and the bud sites look great and already have some sugar leaves . The roots and base of the plant are great!

lst them to the side as much as you can, you've only got 4" left and no other option really Imo.......unless you can shrink them with an incredible shrinking machine, you haven't much choice :)

how long does the major stretch last after going from the vegetative state to flowering?

You can look at my two last documented grows in my sig.

I top and LST to keep them short and wide, to make 4-6 plants take up a 5X5 ft area.

I Flip them at about 8-9 weeks when they are about 20" tall. They end up no more than 30".

Most all the additional height growth comes in the first 5 weeks of flower. After that maybe 3" additional, but all bud elongation. I usually flower for 10+ weeks.

I guess my topping and tying down keeps them in check. I've never experienced the "2 - 3X stretch" indoors claimed by many. Once I switch to 12/12 it's all bud from there.

Thanks for the reply! I'll be sure to check out your last two grows. This is my first in a while and so far it looks great, just have the height concern. I need to figure out best ways to LST with the 5 gal buckets

Aim I just checked out your first sig thread, I have the same genetics for my cheese strain j hope they come out like yours! I'm using all hydroponic nutes so I'm excited to see how it compares to the MG. My first grows were with Mg as well and didn't have issues, no nute burn and after flushing it tasted fine..great actually. I also have a white widow strain and the 2 Tahoe OG. The cheese plant is close to 12" behind the others so I'm worried. It's not showing many flowers yet either- few pistils here and there-- but the Tahoe and the WW have buds already and the sugar leaves are getting quite frosty.
