Stressing a Plant

How is the best way to stress a plant to become a hermaphrodite? I have to stop after this plant cycle for a few months and cloning isn't an option. I'd like to force more seeds.
 
To my understand just mess up its light cycle. A friend of mine got hermis from leaving his door open all day. I don't really have any real science to back this up.... I could be wrong.
 
put them on 12/12, but during the middle of the dark cycle open the door for 10 mins and tell them you love them. do this at staggered intervals over a week or 2 and things should happen. maybe just once every other light cycle. i'm guessing because i haven't purposely done it but i have done it mistakenly. realize your seed stock will be unstable.
