stress related question

Would it be too much stress on my plants to transplant them into larger pots and switch from 250w MH to a 1000w MH on the same day??

It's always safer to do things in steps. Transplant,keep at 250 for 2 days. Take to 1k after that but pull the light back 2 1/2 to 3 feet or so , than after another 2 days move 1k in a foot. 2 more days in another 6" until you reach the safest distance from canopy. Check your temps of course while ur doing this. You want to minimize stress so growth will continue normally.
