streaching?

iv been reading around and cant find much info on streaching i am growin my first indica and am just windering whats the deal?

whats the deal of what? Plants stretch during flowering due to genetics and/or a light source being to far away/to weak. There are a few nutrient additives that say the help stop stretch.

Whata want to know about stretching basically

is streaching a bad thing then?if i just keep my cfls an inch or two away will it still streach at all or just grow normally.i have my first grow of bagseed sativa flowering and and i just started vegging my first sativa clones now and its a tottlay diffrent deal it seams.but these first grows are teaching me alot
