Strawberry Cough'n' Kush ryder

For my next grow i will be growing strawberry cough for my "long project". I also plan to grow world of seeds afghan kush ryder as well to tide me over between harvests (if i plant 1 every month then i have about and oz of afghan extra to my grow every 3/4 weeks).

My question is; Will changing the lights to 12/12 half way through an auto kush grow mess things up? Do autos like to be kept in the same light or is my plan quite feasible? i mean, the cough will only need vegging for like 30 days otherwise i'l run outa space n then its straight into 9 weeks of flowering.

Maybe it would be better to grow some actual kush? does anyone know what the yeild and potency of kush ryder is? I have seen some kush advertised with 6 weeks flowering, This means that they would be harvestable only a week or two after the auto strain would!!! would the diference in yeild make it easier to grow a couple of real kush?

Ideas n anecdotes please people!!Thanks.

I'm kind of new so I cant really help you with the lighting cycle questions... but i know most autoflowers ryders usually yield less. Good luck w that cough tho!

I'm pretty new at this indoor thing myself, but most of the reading I have done indicates that auto flowering strains do best with a light cycle of 20/4 for the entire grow....I have some Afghan Kush Ryder on the way, & thats how I plan to it....lights on for 20hrs & off for 4....

I have four AKR going 30 days now. 30 cm tall and very bushy. Easy and very robust plants. No flowering yet.

400hps soil with organic nutes.

just to update this, they are now 33cm and all four are showing female (finally!).

Just to underscore, this is a great strain to grow. Very easy, very communicative. If it shows a bit of yellow, give it some more. When it flowers, give it some bloom nutes. A nice, easy hand and it just grows beautifully. A wonderful plant.
