Strawberries

Maybe I misunderstood. Perhaps frmfboi can further explain.

I thought that new day neutrals were once called everbearing, but arn't anymore. Now they are called new day neutrals where other strains are now called everbearing.
no everbearing would crop twice early summer and early fall not really a true everbearing actually. The day neautral crop can be continuous if the light is strong enough and they are warm enough to actively grow. It's becoming a greenhouse plant now.

I've had poor luck in the past ordering live plants and bare root stock from mail order companies (I've tried several different ones) The seeds are good, I'll mail order seeds, but for live plants, I'd rather hunt them down locally and select them myself.

I totally agree.

Unfortunately "Frank's" had a monopoly on the nurseries around here. Then they went out of business, leaving a very large gap in plant supply.

Everyone else has been forced to go to HD, Lowes, or Walmart, but we all know the supply that they have.

If you are looking for a particular plant around here, you have to order it online.

We have some random nurseries around here, but they're pretty pricy. I buy a lot of plants at Walmart, sometimes I like to wait until they've almost killed them and then mark them down to 50 cents or something, then I buy.

Half the fun sometimes is bringing it back to life.
