Strange spots on a leaf?

Yeah nothing really. Small plants getting used to their environment.

Make sure you have drainage holes in those cups though.

Thanks for the input, I do have drainage holes and the soil is not what I will be using later, it was just for the starter cups. I have fox farms ocean forrest waiting in the larger transplant pots. Should I go straight to 5 Gal or maybe go 1 or 3 gal in between?
 
That small fan next to them in the pictures seems to be drying the leaves nearest, there will be enough air flow in your grow by pointing your fan at the lights or the wall.

If this is impractical due to space requirements or your trying to keep temps down then i guess it will be hard to make this a consideration.

I dont think it is the fan to be honest, although im no expert, the fan is pointing upwards not directly at the leaves and I rotate the plants to keep them growing straight instead of curving toward the strongest light, so the leaves dont stay near the fan for more than a day before the plant is rotated 180 degrees
 
Then i would say that a picture of the whole grow tent/area with lights and fans would better help as the problem and damage looks more environment. Other details like soil, temps and ferts would complete the picture.
 
Man its on the first set of fan leaves. The new ones don't show this. It WAS probably a ph fluctuation causing micro nute lockout short term. Let it grow.
 
That's not pH or nutrient deficiency. It's either bug eating or a genetic flaw in that leaf or leaves that are affected. Pieces of the leaf are actually missing. That's not a nutrient problem.
 
Light forces a plant leaf to open its stomata, the higher the air flow the more the water is lost. Desk fans stir the air up quite a lot for a small plant, even though its not pointed at the plant its still sucking in and blowing out a large volume of air. There is no reason two 3" pc fans hanging vertically in front of each bulb pointing towards the door wouldnt sufficiently cool air provide enough air exchange.

Im with the guy above, that deformed leaf is initially an environment problem, maybe radiation might cause similar looking leaves :-)
 
kevdank, no offense but you've made the classic mistake of putting plants into a small space. remember, they will outgrow such a small space.
 
polishpollack, no offense, but you've made the classic mistake of not reading through comments and seeing where he says these are just for starts and he has larger pots for later.

lol...fun stuff.
 
hey guys i think some things were misinterpreted when posting these comments, I think polish meant my grow space in general is too small not the pots, but also my grow space will increase in size, that grow space is not my full closet, i did not use the full closet yet because i did not need it, but when the plants get bigger and when i put them in full size pots, the closet will be opened an extra 2 feet wide, my reflective walls are not permanent and just taped in place and will be expanded as needed. anywho, this is the link to my full grow journal on these plants in case anyone wants a broader view of whats going on https://www.rollitup.org/Journal/Entry/closet-cfl-beginner-grow.31948/#comment-38622 as i really would like some advice from more experienced growers
