Strains suitable for a small stealth grow

Hey all,

New to the forums and growing in general so pls take it easy.. just ordered a MrGrowPro PC cab, expecting it in a couple weeks! Now I just need to pick a strain that won't outgrow the small space I have to work with but also produce some dense, hefty buds :eyesmoke:

Got a nosy landlord so a grow room is out of the question. It seems a lot of PC growers like LowRyder, any opinions on this strain and which variants or any strains in general that grow in small areas which also produce the dopest dope?

You'd be better off with a squat indica than an autoflower. You can maintain better uniformity and will have better canopy control. You'll also have a higher quality product that yields more. The only place for autos indoors is wasted room in a vegetation area. Otherwise you're just growing inferior product for no reason at all.

any Indica or indica dominate, hybrid. you can LST to keep compact.;-) GL

Thanks Ringsixty, I've read that indicas have a higher CBD to THC ratio and I should look for an indica/sativa hybrid to get a balance of speedy/heavy as apposed to strait indica resulting in mostly heavy. Any hybrids good for growing stealth?

So autoflowers are inferior to indicas? May be wrong, probably am  but aren't most ruderalis/indica autoflowers pretty much ditch weed while indica/sativa autoflowers can produce quality product?

Autoflowers are very inferior in comparison to indicas, sativas or really any photoperiod plant.
Ruderalis is a hemp variety of cannabis orginating out of Rusia/China region.
There is no reason to grow them when one considers that breeding ruderalis can only make a good strain weaker genetically.

Granted I've only grown a freebie, but when you consider flower times of an indica dominate strain, you easily could flower a photoperiod plant of higher quality and consistency within the same time frame.

My auto was not only a waste of fucking time, but of space as well. Some may be beter, but the smoke was so miserable I simply threw it into the hash pile.
I'm sure some auto lovers will come running in to claim otherwise, but there is no auto out there that can out perform in terms of yield, quality, or potency in comparison to a similarly genetic photo period strain.

In a small, limited space, I would totally run pure indicas. Figure three weeks to veg or even straight twelve/twelve, you could have a harvest in 8-9 weeks. Perhaps earlier depending on the strain.

Also, set some boundries with landlords, unless of course this is some family member or other odd arrangement.

Ruderalis is where the autoflowering gene comes from. And yes, it is ditch weed. Autos have improved in quality but will always remain inferior to photoperiods for many reasons not the least of which is they are genetically inferior product - as far as the drug part of the plant goes anyway. Ruderalis could be useful to cross with hemp plants and such. Also are useful outdoors in some areas. But indoors, there's just no point.

Word, she's a complete wacko, nice complex just crazy landlady.. Never know when she's gonna knock on the door plus I have ppl over often and I doubt anyone's gonna be like that PC tower looks kinda suspicious lol.

I'm thinking of going with Barney's Farm Blue Cheese, ive never had a chance to try it although others seem to like it, think its a cannabis cup winner. Its an indica which grows short and bushy so thinking of buying a dozen seeds or so.

I had a pack of Barneys Vanilla kush, they all died or didn't pop. Waste of fucking money and never again. Just my experience, I'd go with something like afgham #1 from sensi or something elder.

Thanks for the heads ups man! I see a lot of popular Barney strains, most are feminized.. what's the deal with feminized? Did some research, and it looks like they ironically have a higher chance of becoming males if not kept properly. Seeing as this is my first grow, and I plan on SCROGing, I'm thinking I should stay away from feminized seeds until I get a few grows under my belts seeing as SCROG training seems to stress the shit out of the ladies. Thanks for the suggestions, been a big help!

I grew Indica Dom. hybrids, Sat. Dom. Hybrids and a pure Indica. The pure Indica matured much quicker than the others. These were outdoors. Sorry I have no experience with Autos, I don't see any advantage for growing them in my situation.

No problem man. People helping people
Is how we all can learn and hopefully avoid mistakes and further grow the knowledge pool. I wouldn't be where I am without the help of this and other communities.

Best of luck, keep us updated and happy growing

I grew CH9 Vintage 2006. It is compact and fast. It is a beautiful plant and produces little sticky nuggets.
It finishes in 45 days and stays small and compact. It's genetics are Afghan Hash Plant x Jack Herer x PPP x Afghan Hash Plant.
It's a stupid name so I call it "Jackghani". It is skunky and sweet and sticky. Awesome creeper with an uplifting high.

Thx for the replies, much appreciated! What do you all think of Sensi Northern Lights? They're a little pricey so I wanted to ask if anyone has compared Sensi NL to other NL strains from companies like Seedman that go for a quarter of the price. Any suggestions?

No experience but it's on my list. You probably want to make sure whatever strain you go with that it was little stretch at flowing, so more indica less stretch

PeakseedsBC NL is the best source I can imagine. It's the real deal, cheap and good. It's got an amalgamation of many sources of NL including quite old ones. Kushberry from the same breeder would be outstanding for your setup as well. A little stronger smoke and even less stretchy. Real NL does stretch a bit. Not uncontrollably - you'd do fine with a PC grow if flowered at the right height, but it does stretch a bit. The Kushberry barely stretches at all and is very high quality smoke if you love Indicas.

I'm going with your experience on this so let's hope your right lol.. it doesn't look like Herbies or Attitude stocks PeakseedBC seeds :(

On their website, peakseedsbc dot com, they say they deliver to the US but require a blank money order which is fine, I just can't seem to find any reviews or if they offer stealth shipping. I've sent an email asking the exact same question, should I order directly from them or try to find a reseller?

Im thinking NL is a good choice for stealth grows since its an indica, grows squat and bushy, has a neutral scent with decent yields.

Can't wait to get my grow on! Need some seeds first tho ;)

PeakseedsBC are reliable and good sources. It's peakseedsbc.com - I've ordered from him more than once. Large orders and he sent me multiple free packs of C99 - one for every strain I ordered.

IMO his stealth is excellent. Really clever packaging. You can only order from his website, although I suspect there are many breeders using his gear as a starting point.

His NL does have a mild smell. Mixture of pine and fruit. His Sweet Skunk is mega low odor. A bit stretchy though. Kushberry isn't low odor.

Very good advice, I am currently growing Northern Lights from PeakseedsBC. Easy to grow, forgiving, classic, low odor very high quality strain.

Can't think of better choice for your situation!
