Strain specific care catalog

I was wondering if we could gather our sharde experiance with at least the most common/popular strains and catalog common attributes. While all plants have simular needs im sure we will be able to state that some things just dont go with some strains and some will regulary need more then what is commonly given.
I know many people run the same mother for years on end with lots of controlled testing each run and may have perfected their care regiment.

Im still new here and have less then a year on my current opps but ill start with the repeatable data Ive seen so far.
Every agent orange plant i have put outside(5) have instantly bloomed and not reveged at lat 38 we had 14h50m daylight at the solstice. Would live to know if any one else has seen this strain trigger at a known low darkness threshold

Orange bud needs extra calcium

Unless your running the same cut as someone the guidelines of what a particular phenotype/plant will require is going to be hard to come across, especially with how many strains are available today. I run 2-3 new genetics every year and I will speak from personal experience now (popping 6 seeds of each strain at a time, up to 18 seeds then hunting my favorite one and then cloning it).

The plants I select even when they are the same strain have different requirements. This is why I run 2 separate rows in my flower room now so I can give each plant the feed strengths they need. I use MaxiBloom I don't add anything extra apart from Potassium Silicate for pH UP.

The best balance I have found for multiple strains on 1 feed was probably something like this:
1.6-2.0 EC ~ 5.8-6.2 pH solution.
70-80 °F ~ 50-60% RH
LEDs

If you keep things in a "normal" range then everything should go smooth regardless of plant or strain. I would learn to watch the plants vs go off charts/catalogues unless its a chart/catalogue you personally made for genetics you have cloned and grown more than once.

IME General Hydroponics MaxiBloom has everything for your plants start to finish, some plants like the MaxiGro in veg if they are heavy Nitrogen eaters.

To add to this, different environments will change nutrient uptake dramatically. Lights, medium, vpd, dli, and feed style all change requirements

Thanks for the tip on Orange Bud. I am currently flowering Orange Poison (orange bud x durban poison) and recently added ash to the pot.

I also just figured out that when they bred the OP they apparently didn't use fast finishing dutch DP but used real DP. I have been in flower for at least 4-5 wks and it doesn't look like I'm going to see a finish in less that 12-14 weeks. You never know what you are getting when you pop new seeds.

Well first off orange bud is a skunk cali orange is different it also has thai in it as for its willingness to flower kc s cali special does this too so its maybe a trait of the cali o parent if lights dropping or it runs outta root space it will bloom im pretty sure agent orange has cali o in it too i always assumed kc brains had selected for that trait as he is an outdoor guy mostly but maybe not might be from the cali o as for this trait in other strains sweet tooth and its parent strain spg will bloom without adequate root space ime too there will be others im sure

Find all of your points to have merit and be mostly true. However runny different strains almost constantly i can not stream line my feeding for all plants. Almost everything will show some kind of dificency/excess and require minor adjustments.
I dont see this as something that could be a complete project but older common strains should be understood enough that we can give a adjustment from base line for people going at it the first time.
Orange bud i had major Cal defect had to run 5ml cal mag every feed to correct and maintain, @MtRainDog said he had a simular experiance i ran ILGM, 2 seperate hydro shop owners told me they had the same experiance from different breeder stock. I would call this a common occurance sufficent to say one should up their cal to normal care before issue show.
Telling someone running something new to expect a early bloom strech of 2 feet is way diffenrent the double height, and should be a predictable behavior.
This thread is not so much to catalog but to decide if it is a worthwhile research project

The one orange bud I did take to harvest went right in the trash. I didn't like the smell, and it was weaksauce high and yielded nothing but little nugs, practically all popcorn. Hope yours came out better lol

Honestly im probably gonna hash the whole thing it hermed out bad and is just to danm seeded. Still got a few oz of haze to burn though before i have to decide. Got a few decent colas but probably only about a 6oz plant.
Ive had 1 bowl pack and it taste like orange peel, more seed then flower cant say how potent it was as i was already quite high(almost always am) just jarred on the 5th and i like to allow as much cure time as possible

Its only not getting hashed bc im not expecting another decent harvest for a few months. Sedative but mild with a bit of head fog. Taste like orange peels and not in a good way. Sooo much seed! Guess my diet just got healthier bc im not growing these
