Strain name question

Hello all, I have a strain question I need help with. I picked up a clone today advertised as Grandddy Purple. Upon receiving it I was told it was "the non original strain that doesn't get as purple but has a better taste and more potent." Now that being said he told me it was Big Bud X Grapefruit Sour Diesel. Is its name still Grandaddy Purple or is it known by something else? Thanks for your reply

Grandaddy Purple is Big Bud x Purple Urkle I believe might be Mendo Purps but either way you don't have the Grandaddy Purple though it might be good.

I would call it Grandaddy Sour Grapefruit myself. :bigjoint:

I think you were told it's name - they are prob just calling it GDP to sell a few more.
Not that it's any issue (other than deceptive marketing) - still could be rockin bud, just not what they're labeling it as.
