On squash they burrow at the base of the vine. Where do they chew in to cannabis? Also near the ground? Or anywhere? Are you still able to locate them with the orange frass, or does cannabis make differently colored frass?
The borers that hit my plants started about 1/3 to 1/2 way up the the plant. They made a small hole a the base of stems. From that point up the first the fan leafs started to wilt, then the whole branch started looking a bit sick. After that the stock started losing it's green color and turned brown and died. I think you have about a week, maybe more, before the bud starts to die.

Thank you, i went ahead and cut the whole limb off since it was all dead. I dissected the limb today but did not find anything. Guess Ill know about the rest of the plant in a few daysthen? It will be a shame if I lose her , the flowers are starting to put on weight now too!

It's not borers, If they kill a limb it will yellow first. Lots of plants around this year with dead sections right about week 3 of flower. I had it in the bush on plants in holes not deep enough or amended well and lost moisture.
That could very well be the issue as my pots in my mind should have been quite a bit larger for the size of the plants. I had no idea they were going to get as large as they did. Thanks for your input!

Are those not some bastards of a insect? Every year it happens, even to old guys that though to get out the mid July on an hunt for them. And Mainuly remove them.
Don't forget caterpillars remove them on the daily or deal with alot of bud rot an massive damage at the end of the year. When that weather is less then ideal. I go for those fast Sativas now, like Hella jelly or something fast. It's tuff taking them into October 15th it seems now.
Yea thick Tie-Wires are great, I tie one at every Y in the plant right as there 2 weeks into bud. Or they will try an grow around the Tie Wire, no matter how thick it is. But maybe that's not a bad thing.. idk rambling off afew Puffs of Jelly Donuts, pressed an it kicks it. The flavors are out of this world

But yeah I still had some tiny little caterpillar rot damage in spots. The more I use living organic soils I made and mixed myself. The less I see of mites and other bugs..etc.. but these borers and caterpillar over the past years can really bum you out, I lost on average a couple gr per each 12 plants. I tried to be out there 8 hours in the Sun looking and hunting for Caterpillars, and most are so small. I just set a stole up, an start plucking with my long strong tweasers. I probably plucked hardcore, 200 off 12 nice girls and to think if I didn't spend that much time out there an still had damage from them.

Looks to me like you have it dialed in my friend. I spend on average a couple hours a day, looking , picking and dillidalling over these two girls every day. Last year i went 0-7 on outdoor grows,(bud rot, mold, etc) so i only half heartedly put much effort into it (initially) this season). I had a couple golden tiger clones and seeds so i planted one clone and one seed outside and told myself whatever happens happens, dont care . (I didnt even change last years soil).
long story short, any real problems were/are caused by my own indifference back at the beginning of the grow, i didnt think i could be successful in this climate outdoors. Living and learning! I’ll definitely do better next year! Ha! (Thanks again)

Well, here we go again. Was fine 30 minutes ago. Rest of the plant is very healthy as in pix but Im figuring any more now and ill be harvesting the limb. What i can anyway. Trying to make it 3-4 more weeks. Either borer or root issues Im thinking, lesson learned here for me is not to cheap out on the soil.
