stone/high strain help

ok so i need help picking an indica and a sativa out.

for the indica i was thinking RP's sour kush (sour diesel x og kush)

for the sativa i was thinking dna's sour cream (sour diesel x g 13 haze)

the only plant ive grown so far is ghs' white widow and i loved the total body stone with basically no cerebral. i cant function with a cerebral high... love the stone though.

anyway i,m growing an indica for the stone (for myself) and a sativa for the high (seems like all of my friends really only like the high not the stone) for my friends.

if there are any other really great strains let me know and if there is an awesome hybrid out there that is both a stone and high fill me in on that too. thanks!

also noticed cali connection and green house have their own versions of sour og... anyone happen to know the differences in high/stone for cc, ghs, and rp sour og?

well kush is sativa dom and sour d is sativa. so thats a sativa dom plant you think is an indi. amd its more the ratio of thc/cbd/cbn that makes the types of high. both strains can do both if chopped at right times

Yeah saw what you're saying after looking more... good lookin out. I really like the GHS White Widow I grew. I want stones like that. Any suggestions?

then use that...lol. wont know till you run one yourself. i can make diff meds from the same strain by cutting it at diff stages for the different ratios of cannabinoids

i know... i would but i really want black widow but attitude hasn't had them in forever and so last time i settled for ghs ww. i wish attitude has shit in stock that i actually want to grow.

how do you test for the cannabinoid ratios?

I'm thinkin kiwi seeds mt cook looks pretty good. definitely looks indica heavy.

i work with Dr hornby and he runs a lab for this testing. he was the first to obtain a gov grant and liscence to do this. we can test anyones smoke for efficacy.

wait... how is kush a sativa? even if og kush is a hybrid that's several generations away from the kushes of afghanistan and the hindu kush, it's still a kush. kushes are selected for a that kushy hashy flavour and incredible body stone. sour kush, aka headband has always operated as more of an indica than a sativa for me, personally. the kush combined with the sour d body stone, with some of that sour d head high, just enough to keep me from falling asleep.

and as far as the "right times" def pick your strains for your highs, not chopping at different times. all plants have one similar ripeness. sure you could chop a kush early and get a buzzy head high, or chop a sativa late and get a fake body high, but why would you? you can just grow both to ripeness IMO.

i said its sativa dom. granted it dfoes apear to be indi dom asnd smokes same but its not. thats where the long fingers come fronm on it and morte than 5 finger count. both a sativa trait. like i said its not so much the strain being indi or sat that i look for its the thc to cbd/cbn ratio and yes kush has more cbd than cbn wich is also agaisnt the indi trait

missed the last bit there...sometimes its about the flavs to not just the ratio of the chems. or other chems that we dont test much for that all has a medical bennefit for certain issues.
harvesting to a ripeness is personal preff to. no set rule to that one, its ripe when i say not when the plant says

okay, i feel you on the sativa dom thing, based on growth pattern, leaf shape and such. but the high is, at least to me, very indica. so i figure that's relevant if we're talking about stone/high types.
for sure the flavs (terpenes) effect the high as well. which is probably one of the reasons most "kushes" can be associated with a kush body high. still don't see the point of letting trichromes degrade from thc to lesser compounds though
