Still no independent review of the GeekBeast Pro???

I know some of you are using them, and some even promised to test them.
Could one of you please give us a hint as to the reality of their claims?

Hello all.
I run 32 of the 320w in 400sqft. vs 28 x 1100UV Califonialightworks in 400sqft.
better yield from the Geek lights.
Our new 320ft veg room will have their geek beast strip design fixture. Very interested to see how well these are also. The wifi/bt/app is very useful since they were a bit too much for our spacing in the current veg room.
What information are you looking for? I can spend some time gathering information and I have a Par Meter and space to do testing.

Be nice to see par maps at some fixed height.

Be interested to learn about longevity. Think having so much control is nice, but must come at a cost. Seems like all elements are driven from one driver, but can be individually switched or collectively dimmed?
yes, the app is really useful. I can control uv and ir individually(ya i know). as well as control the dimming on a group of boards.
I also thought the same thing but it has 2 plugs per fixture. Hoping they fix this but not sure.
Ill do 320w and 480w versions later today and update when I can. ill do 24 and 36inch readings.

I think you are referring to a different light. This is the led I am referring to

Hello guys.
The Geekbeast is really good, I'm very happy with it. It's easily surpassing the yield using one 600hps. In the 4ft sq that it covers, the plants have grown healthy and fast. I'm now 6 weeks into flower and they are far surpassing my expectations. Buds 12 inches down from canopy top are fat and dense. The even lighting really helps get fuller lowers. I've not scrogged this time, to test for that. Using hps I end up with larfy lowers if I don't scrog. I've only had them 6 weeks so obv I can't comment on longevity, but they are everything I hoped it would be. The wifi, Bluetooth app is brilliant can set timers for on/off also the UV and IR. I'm running 2 hrs a day UV and 6 hrs a day ir. When the weather was hot a couple of weeks ago, cool morning followed by really hot afternoon, I was able to dim the lamps from miles away from home. The apps fairly straightforward once set up and you can group lights, so I have my geekbeast and the monster board 320 in my bloom group to control them together.
Build quality is alright. Could do better, but its certainly not unprofessional.
The light has basically saved my grow in this heat we had and are going to have. If I was still using the 2 x 600 hps, there would be no way of controlling temps. With the geeklights, temps topped 34c once.
The plants are also using more calmag, evident in the leaves closest towards the night. I'm not overly concerned as I am near the end of flower anyway, but next time I'll have to get it sorted.
Thanks for your interest

Hello guys
Harvest was yesterday and unless I've got my calendar wrong it's earlier than usual, just under a week.
I am very, very impressed. No weights yet, but I say the yield is easily what I have been achieving using two 600hps. The plants I've grown for multiple grows, years in some cases have expressed colours I've not seen before, the UK cheese has purple tinges and this is with low temps of 20c. I ran the lights at night to combat summer heat, high temps rarely passed high 20s over the last 4 weeks. Yields have been just what I hoped for, I finally think I've got my winning formula now. Even the plant in the least amount of soil, a tangilope in 6Litres looks like it will give a good Oz and half or more. Barely 2ft off the ground and look at the size of the colas.

If you are interested in going led, then I wholeheartedly vouch for geeklight.

sorry for the noob/slightly off topic question but how can you tell the plants are using more calmag? Is there a visual cue?

Yes mate, it's really only evident when you start getting deficiency though, just typical calcium Def, brown spots to start. I've had each of my strains on for a long time, but this grow they were showing deficiency to a greater extent. That being said, they were in small pots this time around, less than 10L per pot, so there's a good chance this could have contributed.

ahhh right. I knew about the brown spots. I thought you meant something else. Dealing with a calcium deficiency myself at the moment. Thanks.

That's great to hear. I was waiting to hear anything from someone who was not part of their org. I assumed you weren't and ordered onen because of your little review in your last post. If I were Geekbeast I would get a few units out there to well known independent reviewers like Migrow or Dr Coco or whoever. Seems like so many people are dying to pull the trigger if they could just get some independent measurements. The price one the 650 pro was quite reasonable, the shipping price was hard to swallow and ended up making the total equal in price to a pretty good domestic unit. With the shipping it was like $750 and you can get a pretty good light shipped from the USA for that, but I had to have it, but would have heavily considered the MiGrow Array if it weren't needed like last week.

I do hope for you it will surpass the yield of 1 x 600 W HPS :)
Otherwise not much need for changing them out.
Really curious about how much you will surpass the HPS.
Good luck!
