Stems going to snap?

Alright so viper has been gaining some weight lately and I noticed yesterday she was starting to sag a little. I tied her up half assed with some stuff I had laying around the house. Now today she’s sagging a little more. I’m not sure if something is wrong with her or if she is just starting to get heavy. Overall the plant seems healthy and this is the only branch having this problem. During my last grow I had a branch snap and had assumed it was from weight but as time went on it came out that my sister had bumped it and then didn’t dare to tell me. I’ve read that you should tie them, but I’ve also ready that you can let them sag and they won’t break. Or maybe it has nothing to do with weight and she’s getting sick? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sometimes I have half a dozen of those four foot green bamboo sticks in my larger plants for support, with strings all over the place, you got to support the heavy buds, especially the last month or so
-good luck!

Heavy buds will cause branches to sag. You really want to support those, because the plant will put more energy into trying to support sagging branches than into bud development.

thanks people I’m gonna find some way to support them. They are gaining a lot more smell to them as well. So exciting!!

Here’s a little update
I had no time to deal with it yesterday and this morning I found a different branch had completely given. So sad. It wasn’t totally snapped so I taped it back up.
I bought some netting a while ago to try the SCROG thing, but haven’t gotten that far yet. But that’s what I’ve used to support them. I put some sticks around the edge to create a wall basically and the wrapped the netting around the pot. They definitely have support now but I’m wondering if they are going to be to crowded or if this net rubbing all over them is going to screw with their ability to take in light or anything else I might not be thinking of. Any advice? Will this work or should I take it apart and do something else? Thanks in advance.

Taping branches usually works. I've taped up branches that were hanging by a thread, and they recover and produce buds just fine (most if the time).

You can use whatever you have on hand to support branches. I used to tie string or yarn to heavy branches, then staple the other end to the wall. That's just an example. Bamboo rods, dowels, whatever, all work fine. Some people use tomato cages, but they need to be set up when the plants are small.

I wouldn't worry about plants rubbing on the net. It won't cause any harm. It's okay for it to be crowded. You just want to fluff up the leaves each day to free up any fans that are sitting right on top of each other, causing condensation between them. You also want a lot of circulation. I use four fans in my 4x4 tent. I don't consider this overboard with how crowded my plants are.

Took this "crowded" pic just now. This is two weeks into flower.

That’s beautiful! I’ll take some time to look through your stuff. I’ll probably learn a thing or two.
I started this journey a little over a year ago with nothing but this site, YouTube and random google searches. It’s a long road and I’m nowhere near where I want to be. It’s nice to have people with plants looking like that to lean on for advice. Thanks a lot of taking the time. Have a good one.

You bet! This is where I learned everything, with the exception of what I learned just through trial and error. It takes practice. There's so much to growing when talking about seed to smoke. One very important thing I learned was that a lot of times it's better to ask, than to "think" I knew about something. Even trivial stuff. A lot of new growers try throwing a lot of chemicals at plant problems before understanding what the problem, and solution, is. It's better to find out rather than guess your way though it :)
