Stealth Grow Idea-Help?

So after accidentally killing one of my plants when I had to throw a blanket over my Aerogrden to hide it from a surprise visitor, I've come to the conclusion that I need to find a better way/place to grow than out in the open in my room. I know...common sense right? xD. Anyhoo, I've been looking at grow boxes from this site:

I absolutely can not afford anything close to that, but I think I could make something like what they offer. So here's my thought, using a refrigerator as a stealth grow box. Considering I'm a student, it would only make sense that I have a mini fridge in my room yes? Has anyone ever used a mini fridge and converted it to a grow box? Do you think it would work? Because I'm sure that I could find a broken mini fridge for free somewhere. Then I'd use just the base of my Aerogarden system and have custom lighting, a fan with a carbon filter rig and mylar coating inside. This would also ensure that my dark periods are DARK. Does this seem like something worth pursuing?

I'd just go with the walmart tote stealth box...it's more lightweight, can be used easily for hydro/aero/organics, just as easily hid, and probably have a lil more space than a mini fridge (depending on your definition of "mini")...plus you don't have all kinds of coils and stuff to cut out like a fridge

Have you ever watched the tv show weeds? its about a pot dealing mom and whatnot anyway in on of the episodes i saw what looked like a full size fridge that has the plants growing areoponically on the walls its shown with a shitton of clones, and then later with full sized plants that looked LSTed (about two plants per wall on on each door) for a total of eight plants. ive always wanted to splurge and make one with a pillar of led lights in the very center. imagine, easy temp control (its a fridge remember all it takes is a little tinkering to maintain an exact temp) completely airtight when shut, small, lockable, and is easily moved if u have a hour or so of warning. You can cut a circle out of the back for a carbon scrubber and it wont even look all that different if it is pushed agaist a wall. now im not too sure how it would works cause who believes everything they see on TV, but it seems good in theory and you might not be able to grow huge plants but a full sized fridge could easily hold a few indica based plants that were vegged for no more than a month or so, provided that you LST and top. give craigslist a looksee to find a cheap fridge and start it up!!
