ok So im building a grow box with two totes on top each other. I put like 4 -5 coats of paint on the inside to block the light out, cuz before it lit up like a christmas light. So i painted the two bottom layers a dark brown (just paint i had lying around) and then put a couple top layers of white on it Its super Bright on the inside. Im running 4 42 watt, and 4 23 watt bulbs. I have a little fan hanging right across the lights blowing on them. I did a trial run last night with the lights on just to make sure i didnt burn my house down lol. I woke up this morning and inside it had to be like 95 degrees or hotter. I don't have any intake or exaughst yet built in which i know i need to have. What are some different ways you can do this?I have a couple ideas but you guys probably have some better recommendations. Would just cutting holes in the back be enough? would air just naturally flow in or would i need a fan there? And suggestions would be great!

i am growing in a tote right now ..... i have a fan inside tote to keep air moving and temp lower if i can figure out how to post a pic i will show u a pic of it ...roughly 3 foot in length 20 inches wide by 24 inches high

oh ok, Would one of those computer fans that push like 100CFM be strong enough to push the air through one of those homemade carbon filters. The ones with the aluminum screen, and then the prefilter wrapped around it. Ive seen them on here somewhere how to build it. Would that be strong enough, cuz i know im going to need one of those eventually?

bump, so would one of those 100+cfm computer fans be enough to efficently use one of those homemade carbon filters?

Here are some pics of my 30 gal totes. I used 120v 4inch computer fan for exhaust. 8inch clip on fan for intake and with 4 43w and 2 daylight 6500k bulbs inside its runs at 84f 85f. When room temp is around 78f. The colder your room is, the more your temp will drop inside the box..
