I have spent many hours reading on here but would like some input on my method and how I could improve. My setup is a homemade deep water culture system using a 4 gallon tub with holes cut in the lid to accomadate 2 square netpots (kinda). I have a medium sized air pump with 2 - 6" airstones. When I first started growing I was going larger scale but soon decided I would rather be safe and try for 2 plants to start with, and I had never grown anything at all before so I didn't really know what to expect. I want to order seeds to start my next attempt at growing, but for this one I used some bag seed from some decent smoke that came from Cali. My plants were given General Hydroponics Flora micro, gro, and bloom using the feed schedule they recommend but staying on the light side of things, 15% percent less or maybe even 30% less in the beginning. They were vegged under 2 - 100 watt cfls for 3 weeks and then placed under a 70 watt hps bulb on 12/12. I started flowering two females but removed one to position the other closer to the bulb. I read somewhere that for 70 watts to produce a fullsize bud it would need to be no further than 8" away, if anybody has any experience with 70 watts please tell. My bud seem a little small and I'm not sure if it's just slow or there is not enough light. They are on week 7 of 12/12. I will have some pics up as soon as I get my computers network card replaced.
