Howdy folks, this is my first time growing so I have chosen to use CFLs. I'm low on budget so I've created a similar set up to

Fractus's grow box. ( https://www.rollitup.org/grow-room-design-setup/210449-building-single-plant-growbox-i.html )

I will be growing blue mystic ( seeds coming in this week from nirvana seeds ) with 3CFLs during veg ( (2) 5500K 27Watt & (1) 5500K 30Watt ) and 3CFLS during flowering ( (3) 2700K 42Watt.

That is way stealth my friend. Congrats.
Are you planning to make a mini carbon filter? Seems to me like a cool idea, How are you planning to connect the import and export for the fan/filter?
 
The fans are already connected through 12v adapters. Yes the materials you see with the pencil cup and activated carbon will be my filter
 
i got the pc fans (120mm) at frys electronics, activated carbon pantyhose at walmart, and the large/small pencil cups at staples. the carbon was about 5-6dollars pantyhose 1 dollar and the cups were 13 dollars for both, you can probably get a better deal somewhere else but these cups are good for my fans since theyre 120mm and the staples pencil cup is large enough to cover that.
 
hey how quiet are those fans? have you ran them yet? oh and good idea for the setup and all but your plants are going to outgrow the box unless you lst the crap out of them

The fans are really quiet, you wouldn't even know they're running if you were in the room. The best part about the fans is that each of them have a control speed notch which allows you to control how fast/slow you want the fan speed to be, so as the plants starts growing and getting larger I will increase the speeds in the fans. Yeah I figured that the plants will probably outgrow the box so I plan on adding on a bigger top during the later stage of its growth. Today I just got my seeds! So they're germinating as we speak. Moist paper towels, dark closet, sitting in the cup, will reply back with more info and pictures soon!:mrgreen:
 
I am also looking forward to seeing this stealth grow! I would like to know how you are going to construct the filter because i need to make one too. i am also working on a stealth grow with a project im building. Good luck!
 
subscribed. I'm doing a stealth grow myself but havent got my camera from my old house yet. :roll: bongsmilie cat wait to see how it turns out.
 
I've planted both of my seeds into the soil, out of curiosity how long until i see a sprout arise from the soil or any sign of life?
 
probably within a couple days, some times it can take a week, but for me its usually just a couple days. One time it sprouted on me overnight and had its first two leaves in the morning.
