Stealth case grow

I was thinking of starting a stealth grow in this old PC case I have, I don't have seeds yet and I'm not quite sure what I would use for lighting. The dimensions of the case are 7"x17"x16" I was also wondering if anyone knows a way I could use the old cooler master that was in there to hook up some fans or should I just run a power bar in there?

If i were you, I would toss the PSU and have all electronics outside of the box, since space is already limited.
Then, i would use some CFL or NOT very powerful LED's perhaps. Heating is always going to be an issue in a small confined space like this.
Have a look on google: pc grow case build tutorial
There are tons of build showing really nice PC grow cases.

I would build something towards this:

Good luck!

you want hard strips in there, nothing else is going to come close in a tight space like a PC case

CFL is a huge waste of space and money, they have been obsolete for years

I found these for the lights https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B074Y2873R/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?smid=A1Q9KJLM58L1E7&psc=1

Not sure what else i would use, anyone have any ideas for a light that would give me more space due to height issues?

Don't buy those, please. Any screw in light or ordinary off the shelf light is going to take up a lot of space and put out a lot of heat. Your best option by a long shot is to DIY something custom fit.

These are what I'm using. I would plaster the entire top of your case with these, as many as you can fit plus one vertically in each corner, plus another two vertically between two pots (remove the drive bays.) They also come in a 560mm long version, whatever works for you.

These things are a quarter inch thick and you can stick 'em directly to the case with double sided thermal tape. The more you have, the better the spread and penetration and the closer your buds can get to the top. Also, they get more efficient so you can turn down the power and get the same light with less heat.

Nothing else is going to maximize your space like this type of LED strips and they have start of the art diodes unlike the lights on amazon. Ones made by Samsung are popular but these Bridgelux are half the price.

You're going to need to head over to the LED section and do a lot of reading. I would run all strips in parallel, it is safer. You need to figure out how big a driver you need to get you to around 25-30W per square foot of case floor. Get the datasheet and figure out how many strips you can physically fit in there.
