STEALTH CAB + 120w eBay LED

Decided to start a fresh journal now that my epically long build of the cab is over and its almost time to concentrate on the most important part.. The growing!

In this cab im trying out a $170 120w LED panel from eBay, it is listed to have 112 x 1w Lights

STRAINS

1 x Grinspoon FEM. I know that my light and cab size are probably not suited for it. But i really really wanted to give it a shot anyways, its so interesting i had to try!
2 x White Widow REG. This is probably better suited for the cab. Im running two of them because they are REG and im hoping for one female.

THE PLAN

The plan is to wait until the 20th of feb and give the second white widow to sprout and also give the other two a couple of days to chill before switching it all to 12/12.
Im doing this to try and keep their size down and small enough for the light to manage as well.

THE HOUSE

The cabinet that the grow will be in, its 100cm high, 100cm wide and 50cm deep :)

The guts ripped out to clean it up, light proof and paint it up

Floor put in and caster wheels added for easy movement

The fan set up im using, 2 120mm fans

I intially started with a double door design

An idea ill try out if the LED does not work too well, will only use this set up during winter time tho unless i get air con in my house. Itll get far too hot for the fans im using

The LED panel that im using, it cost me $170 at the time and is supposed to be a 120w with 112x1w LED lights with alledgedly 620-630nm and 660nm of red, 450-460nm and 460-470nm of blue wavelength provide

How they look like on

I ended up with a large one door because i sucked at making the two doors light proof

The end cab being tested with my 1x130w CFL for a few days to heat test the system, after that ill put the LED in and tidy up all the wiring and have it safely tucked away

they all using the same soil? its good to hear that one of them is taking off tho :)

So... while cleaning out the cab today i left my grinspoon and white widow outside on the grass in the sun and i guess my dog felt neglected so she attacked my white white.
She tore the sprout out from the pot, tore the rockwool in hald and bit a leaf off and left the other damaged..
Ive tried my best to salvage it but its wishful thinking to think that she will be able to put through from this

The pic was taken right after i planted her deep in the soil. ill leave her alone and check up on her tomorrow and see how its going.
Wish her luck everyone, she really needs a miracle to pull through! :(

Give here superthrive, it'll help her push through all that shock and promote new growth. She could poss still make it, being as you still have leaves and hopefully some roots, it will just be a little before shes back to normal growth rate. Nice set up though, I dig the cabinet, just never trust your dog to look over your plants hah!

i gave it the remaining little bit of superthrive i had left, now its just a waiting game. it had a fair bit of its roots left, im just not sure how much shock it received and if she can recover since she is still young

Once I dropped several seedlings, not even weeks old, multiple times! It was horrible coming down and seeing your little babies just layed out on the ground hydroton rocks rolling everywhere =*( Bad set up with the ressy hah but they all made it well!

From what I've experienced, it's better to have these problems happen earlier on than during flowering and right before. It then gives you and the plant the time to fix its self and get back to proper development. If this was happing 1-2 weeks before you switched to 12/12, I would say wait another week before switching, some poeple at that point won't want to wait n take the time to let the plant get back on track. When you cause shock to the plant you stunt its growth and must give it time to recover properly, like any other living thing in this world. Any stress put on the plant couple weeks before the switch will call for a hermie as well as anytime during flowering. Take it easy on her, let the soil dry out well before you water again. Give her a small dosage of your grow nute and I'm betting she'll pull through well =)

thanks for that will give it a bit to recover first before going 12/12. makes sense to give it time to recover! :)

Hope the plant pulls through my two purple kush plants are coming along nicely besides the yellowing. I switched my lights to 12/12 though to try and sex this bagseed because if it's a male i'm going to throw it away and focus on my good seeds

Glad to hear your light is doing well and your purple kushs are doin well but where is the yellow abouts? the first leaves it formed?
Have any pictures of your setup?

Day 20 of the grinspoon, The leaves were dropping before but now they have perked up and showing a little bit more growth

And my White Widow is making a come back with some new growth in the centre leaves.
Looks like she may just pull through! :)

Sick dude that looks AWESOME!! Nice work hey! Hope the other WW pops for you soon too!

You may want to move them across a little to the left so they are both right under the light too. See how they go but you may also want to lower the light a little bit too if they start stretching ;)

ive moved them across and added in my little incubator for the other WW in there as well :)

Ill see how the light level goes atm, im planning on bringing the plants to the light like how i have now and once i transfer them over to my larger rectangular pots ill lower the light to them :)
